To begin your adventure, you will start with a spear, rations, and a buckler. These items can be found, earned, or acquired through conquering regions of Eldyn. Conquering a region not only rewards you with extra valor for each kill but also earns you the allegiance of those residing in that area.

Controls in Eldyn are simple and intuitive. You can move your character using the WASD/Arrows keys and interact with the game world by left-clicking. Additionally, you can utilize other tools by pressing the digits 0-9 on your keyboard. If you need to access the menu, simply press the Esc key. For a more personalized gaming experience, it is recommended to adjust the key mappings in the menu to suit your playstyle.

Eldyn also offers the option for players to form factions and team up with others. Up to 10 players can combine as a team by ticking the private faction checkbox. Factions play a crucial role in conquering Eldyn, as they provide essential support and coordination in battles and strategic maneuvers.

One of the unique aspects of Eldyn is that no sign-ups are required to play. You will be entered into the game as an anonymous Wanderer. However, keep in mind that as a Wanderer, none of your progress will be saved. To ensure your progress is preserved, it is highly recommended to sign up and create an account.
